Shoukun
Culinary grade Uji matcha, 50g pouch

Made bold on purpose. Shoukun keeps its flavour through milk, cream and sugar, so a latte still tastes like matcha.

Storage
Keep sealed, cool, and dry, away from heat, humidity, and strong odors.
Ingredients and origin
100% first-harvest Uji matcha, grown in Uji, Kyoto, Japan.
Latte, ice cream, bread. One pouch.
Delicate matcha goes flat once milk and sugar arrive. Shoukun carries more bitterness and a sharper aroma, so the tea is still the first thing you taste.
Cakes and bread
A clear, straightforward matcha flavour that stands out in the bake.

"I've cooked in kitchens across the world. This is the only matcha I drink every morning."David Myers — Michelin-starred chef
The chef

Make it in under a minute
A bamboo whisk gives the finest foam. A milk frother works for lattes.
Sift 2g
About one teaspoon, pressed through a fine strainer to break up clumps.
Add 80 to 100ml of water
Heated to 80°C (176°F). Fresh, filtered water tastes cleanest.
Whisk for 15 seconds
Fast zigzag strokes until a fine foam covers the surface.
Drink, or top with milk
Pour over ice or add steamed milk for a latte.
Which grade suits you
Shoukun is for recipes. For matcha whisked and drunk on its own, move up a grade.

Wonderfully aromatic with a bold, punchy taste. I love the balanced bitterness-perfect for a post-meal treat or quick mental reset! Kyoto 'sencha is truly exceptional.
Sophisticated flavor with a perfect balance of umami and richness. I love this!
